• The POSTLIGA is a double round-robin league. Everyone plays everyone twice: once as white and once as black.
• Games are played with a 15+10 time control.
• Games must take place at The Post on Thursday nights.
• Match pairings will be posted every other week, both online and at The Post.
• Players receive 3 points for a win, 1 point for a draw, and 0 points for a loss.
• There is no entry fee, and there are no prizes.
• Games are not USCF rated, and no USCF membership is required.

Every other week, matches/pairings will be released. Players are expected to play their league match either that week or the following week. If too many unplayed matches accumulate, the release of new matches/pairings may be paused as needed to allow games to be made up.

If a player is consistently attending and making reasonable efforts to play, but their opponent has not made reasonable efforts to attend or schedule the game, a forfeit may be declared. The “winning” player will receive 1 point as the result of the forfeit.

The goal of POSTLIGA is to have as few forfeits as possible. Delays in match/pairing releases and the use of make-up weeks will be used whenever possible to reduce the need for forfeits.
